School FAQ's

Nope! The only cost to the school is giving us a morning and part of your afternoon for us to  come in and photograph your school! We make our money off of sales from our wonderful photographs. There is no cost to the school, in fact, we provide a donation back to the school for allowing us to utilize your space and time!

We try and take a lot of the pressure off of school directors and their staff during our picture day process! 

We only need a few things from you: 

Before picture day: 

• Print and hang provided picture day posters around your school 2 weeks before picture day.
• Provide a school roster so we can print your QR cards
• prepare and clear out whatever designated space we will be using for picture day

During picture day:

• a cleared out private space or classroom that is at least 10x10 without carpeting! 
• provide a staff member to remain in the room at all times with us while children are present
• usher children to and from their designated classrooms
• handle and pose infants under 6 months
• distribute QR cards to parents ASAP after pictures are taken

After picture day:

• direct all parent questions to Storybook! 
• hang important dates poster in school
• hand out photo packages to parents when they are delivered to your school!

Due to liability reasons we will require a designated school staff member to remain present during picture day while children are in the room.

We will have at least 2 Storybook team members to photograph and assist with the kids though!  The only time we will need you to step in is if we have a particularly shy or scared child or for handling infants under 6 months old. If a baby can not sit or hold themselves up on their own, we do ask the school staff member to pose them for us- with the direction of our team members of course! 

We do indeed! All school staff will receive 50% off their children's pictures and directors will receive FREE pictures of their children that attend the school! 

We have several stylings that we offer- Spring, VPK and Holiday pictures. We do a lot of research and try and stay as current as possible with the styling and theme of our photos. However, we really try and showcase these kiddos personalities and therefor stick to very simplistic backdrops and props. 

We will pre-select a theme for our props and backdrops and come prepared with those to your school. The backdrop will always be featured on the picture day poster we send you for that season so that parents can coordinate outfits if they desire. 

We primarily book our schools via written communication and use an integrity system rather than contractual agreement system. We make sure that expectations and deliverables are very clear within those communications so that we can both stand by what is expected of us! We outline everything we do and how we do it in these emails! 

However we can provide via email a contract if that makes the school feel more comfortable. 

We have 2 seasons we offer picture days for. Spring and Holiday.

Most of our schools have us come twice a year for both the seasons. 

Spring pictures are taken in March, April and May

Holiday pictures are taken in October and November

We sure do and at no additional cost to your school! This is a service we provide as a gift just to say thank you for allowing us to photograph your precious kiddos! 

We usually try and capture staff headshots during our Spring Season due to backdrops being more neutral and appropriate for websites/badges.  

We can design and have printed staff badges for your school at a small additional cost per badge. Please inquire with your region director and we can go over all the details! 

For schools that are under 70 students, we can put together a School composite picture of all the students we photographed to make a large print for your school to display showing off all those adorable faces! 

As a way to say thank you for choosing Storybook as your school photography vendor, we offer a 5% donation of profits back to your school! These are paid once per year if it totals more than $50 and if the school has photographed with us for both Spring and Fall seasons. Please be sure to ask your local representative about your designated profit tier and when to expect that donation.
